Boulder Tulips in Spring Snowfall This photo was just selected by an art procurement business in Virginia to hang in an Owensboro, Kentucky hospital hallway. I received my downpayment check in the mail today. The photo will be enlarged to 24" x 36" on a 'canvas wrap' format with my signature in the lower right corner along the bottom edge, to be delivered by no later than March 15th.

Shot a week ago before Thanksgiving while visiting family in NYC. I did not have my tripod with me and decided to try shooting a series of exposures for HDR while keeping my hand as steady as possible. NIK HDR Efex Pro was used to align four bracketed shots to bring out the foreground detail without ending up with a white sky.

Arrived here in Palm Springs Oct. 26th and spending 10 days photographing the desert around the Coachella Valley.

I drove up to Joshua Tree National Park early in the week to try and capture sunrise over the high desert. Not as fortunate with my sunset shots.
