I just returned from a weekend down in Southwest Colorado in the San Juan Mountains where the Fall colors are showing. Based in the town of Ridgway (just north of Ouray and Red Mountain Pass), I took a Fall Color Photography workshop with 9 other photographers. Our last sunset shoot was off of Red Mountain Pass just south of the town of Ouray, by a pond - extraordinary scene with colors, clouds, sunset light, and reflections in the water! I was excited to receive a message recently that FOUR (of 6 submitted) of my images have been 'invited' (juried) into the Louisville Art Association's 27th Annual National Juried Photography Show. Over 1,000 images were submitted by over 600 photographers from all over the US and just 100 images were accepted, making this a competitive exhibition. The show will be at the Louisville Colorado Arts Center from May 28th to June 6th. A judge will announce awards in top categories after the opening.
